The Ring Where Time Slows

The glass cruiser leaves the Ringview docks at dusk — though “dusk” on Saturn is more of a suggestion than a schedule. Within minutes the rings fill the entire ceiling, close enough that first-timers instinctively duck.

There's a note pinned in every cabin: the ice is load-bearing, so admire, don't pocket. Most guests ignore the dinner service entirely, faces pressed to the dome, watching the shepherd moons carve clean lanes through a billion years of frost.

By the time the cruiser turns back, the ring-ice souvenir has half-melted into everyone's glass and the group chat on Earth has gone unanswered for hours. Nobody minds. That, it turns out, is the whole point.
