The Sunset That Forgot to End
Everyone warns you about Venus — the heat, the pressure, the general inhospitality. Nobody mentions that fifty kilometers up, the air turns nearly Earth-like and the clouds go the color of warm honey at all hours.
The Cloud Palace drifts on the trade winds, never quite landing, never quite still. Suites open onto balconies above an endless gilded sea of cloud, and thanks to a quirk of the resort's slow drift, the sunset simply refuses to finish.
Guests check in for two nights and leave having watched the same sunset for what feels like a week. The staff call it “golden hour.” It is, technically, every hour.
